Was Your Wedding Affected by COVID-19?

I am truly heartbroken for all of the couples that are being affected by this pandemic. This is not the wedding experience that you or anyone else signed up for, and we are doing everything that we can possibly do to help you through this. I have been working day and night to find a balance between accommodating all of our couples, and maintaining a sustainable business. My company means a lot to my family and I, It also play a big part in the livelihood of our talented crew, who have dedicated their lives to this business we created. So while we determine how we are going to get through this, l think it is important to know that we are in this together.

I thought it was important for customers to be aware about how we are handling this situation. For those that know me, they know that I started this wedding business because I enjoy the creativity and joy it brings out while covering such a special day. I have always put my customers first and will continue to do that during this stressful times.

Options For Your Booked Weddings

In this time of uncertainty, we are waiving cancellation fees for weddings affected by CDC guidelines and offering free “wedding day shoots” for weddings that have been canceled.

Rescheduling to 2020

We are rescheduling weddings for dates within same calendar year at no additional cost. This is dependent on your videographer’s availability and in cases a videographer needs to be substituted, we are making every effort we can to do so. With substituted videographers, pricing may vary but we will try and work out details to keep it inline with the original booking.

Rescheduling to 2021

For weddings that are being moved to the 2021 wedding season, we will have to apply a $100-200 fee , paid to your videographer to reflect their 2021 pricing.

  • $100: Friday and Sunday Weddings

  • $150: Saturday Dates Between 1/1-4/30 and 11/1-12/30

  • $200: Saturday Weddings Between May 1 and October 31

  • Holidays Weekends will be Handled Individually Pending Availability

That fee does come with a value. Like myself, all team members grow better with experience, upgraded equipment and an improved skillset. So the videographer you booked in 2020 will be a much improved version in 2021, which is reflected in their annual prices.

To lock in your new date, an additional $200 deposit will be needed, which will go towards your balance and reserve your new date.

Doing My Part

As a business owner I have an allegiance both to my customers and team, which has always resulted in an amazing end result featured in beautiful weddings video. I believe being completely transparent with customers, will help me continue this, throughout this unique time.

I don't want anyone to think that we are hanging up our camera straps. We will do everything we can to be at your wedding whether it is on the date that you originally planned, or you move it to the moon in 2029. Whether this pandemic puts the future of my company in jeopardy, I am still committed to seeing this through with the weddings we have booked. Please reach out directly to discuss your specific situation!

I wish you all a healthy and safe coming months and look forward to making beautiful weddings for years to come.

What is a First Look and Should You Do One?

Being in the wedding video industry, the term “first look” is a term that is used often so it is easy to think that term is common knowledge. However, for plenty of couples, planning their wedding, they may not have ever even heard of it! So I wanted to quickly address the question of “what is a first look?”

What Is a First Look?

The short answer is, when the groom first sees his bride, prior to the ceremony. This is usually done with the groom’s back turned, while the bride approaches. As she taps him on the shoulder, he turns and voilà, he seems her, in all her beauty for the first time!

You may wonder why some couples choose to do a first look. There are a couple main reasons. One of which, is that they prefer to experience that first reveal privately and intimately, without a whole church of people joining it. Having it privately gives you the opportunity to take as long or as little as you would like to enjoy that moment which whomever you do or don’t want to be there. Another reason is for scheduling. By doing your first look, which happens earlier in the day, gives you more time to take photos at different locations without being on a tight schedule.

Should You Do a First Look?

If you are on the private side and want to experience that moment intimately, a first look would be a great choice. However, if you prefer for the more traditional and natural experience of the groom seeing his bride for the first time walking down the aisle, then go for it!

If your ceremony and reception (cocktail hour) are back-to-back, I would also suggest a first look. This way, you can schedule your bridal portraits, f bridal party photos to all be taken prior to the ceremony so you don’t have to worry about squeezing them into cocktail hour. This will also give you the time to enjoy what just happened (YOU GOT MARRIED) without having to take dozens of photos.

Capturing Your Wedding Day from Afar

It is our goal as wedding videographers to capture your wedding day, while not being apart of your wedding day. We understand that your wedding is an intimate occasion with your closest friends and family, and we do our best to capture that while not interrupting. Our video and sound equipment make this very possible.

A zoom camera lens is very capable of capturing moments from across the room without the need to be in the middle of it. This can be very useful throughout the day, including preparations, first look, ceremony, speeches, first dances and open dance floor.

All cameras are very good in low-light. So while at times, like speeches when an external LED light may be needed, the majority of coverage throughout the day and even evening, will call for little to no external constant lighting.

Sound is another key factor that can be captured from afar. External recording devices are used on the groom in order to record the intimate moments during ceremony, including the vows and ring exchange. During speeches, these devices are generally able to connect right to DJ booth in order to capture all of those best man jokes, direct from the microphone.

One of the most common comments I receive from customers is the fact that we capture so much, without the bride and groom even realizing it. So on your wedding day, you can be assured your videographer will be at all the right places in order to capture all those natural moments that make your wedding video something to remember!

4 Reasons to Get a Wedding Videographer

A lot of couple teeter on the idea of getting a video for a wedding. Whether it’s a question of budget, need or desire, some newlyweds let the day go by without wedding videography. Don’t let this happen to you.

Check out some reasons we believe that a wedding video is a must have!

  1. Once in a Lifetime Celebration: You spend months, sometimes years planning your wedding. You have every detail picked out from the menu to the venue, colors, songs, guests…. the list is endless! This perfectly planned should not only last a day! You should have the opportunity to relive this day, over and over and over again! Don’t let it pass in the blink of an eye without the opportunity to experience it all over again! 2. See What you may Have Missed: So many people, so little time! It’s impossible to celebrate your wedding day with every one of your guests. You’re lucky if you are able to say hi or exchange a hug with each guest. But the truth is, they are celebrating your big day, whether you are with them or not! This day is all about you, and a wedding video will be able to show you how each of your guests celebrated, cried, danced when you weren’t there to see it! With multiple cameras, our wedding videographers can cover multiple angles, during the ceremony, first dances, speeches and more, so all the important moments are captured!

  3. Sound:If pictures say a thousand words, how many can a video say? Wedding photography is a crucial part of a wedding day…. and so is a video! While pictures are amazing, they don’t certain parts of your wedding justice. All newlyweds should be able to re-watch and re-listen to those sacred vows that make you husband and wife! Your maid-of-honor and best man spend weeks preparing their big speech. A wedding video, captures every word of that.

  4. Share with Friends and Family: As much as you’d like, not everyone is going to be able to attend your wedding. We’d like to have all out friends, distant relatives, co-workers, and more be there but we can’t! That doesn’t mean that can’t watch it! Email, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat…. The list goes on and on of places where you can share your beautifully edited wedding video so everyone can take part in the celebration, over and over, whether they were there or not! Don’t you want your kids to be able to watch the day their parents got married! We can make that happen!
